EXCLUSIVE! Steve Jones is being lined up to replace Zoe Ball on Radio 2.
The former T4 presenter has been inundated with offers of work back in the UK since it was rumoured he would be leaving X Factor USA - news which he confirmed himself last night.
Now bosses at Radio 2 want Jones to take the 6-8 Saturday morning slot, which Ball vacated last weekend. It's hoped that he will host more shows once he's settled in.
Steve has previously covered Janice Long's night-time show on the station which also counts Dermot O'Leary among its presenters.
An announcement about the show will be made by Spring.
Next month, Steve will present Let's Dance for Sport Relief on BBC One.
