The loudmouth DJ is in contract with the BBC station until 2014 - however Radio 1's new Boss Ben Cooper has hinted that he won't keep the coverted slot for that long.
In an interview with The Guardian, Cooper said of Moyles (37) “He is fine where he is at the moment, he is doing great stuff".
"He has got a contract with Radio 1. Whether it's breakfast or [elsewhere on] Radio 1 that is for me to know. Chris and I have talked about it and that's something that will stay between me and him."
"There will be changes over the next few years. It is expected and it will be delivered... I want to keep people guessing because it's an interesting story, it's like a soap opera."
Cooper is under pressure to replace aging presenters like Moyles, Scott Mills and Edith Bowman with younger ones, amid criticism that the station isn't correctly targetting its core audience of 15-29 year olds.
“Success will be down to average age. There’ll be changes but no night of the long knives" he said.
The Mirror hints that Fearne Cotton (30) and Greg James (26) could be given the Breakfast Show and Moyles be moved to later in the day.
