JLS say their forthcoming studio sessions with Ed Sheeran will be "magical".
The band recently confirmed they'll be collaborating with Sheeran later this year. They told MTV "We bumped into him at an airport and he came up to us and said 'how’s it going, what's going to be happening in the New Year?'
"We said that we would love to get into the studio and write some new tracks because we love his album and his music - he writes quality songs.
We think the collaboration would be pretty magical. So when we get an opportunity we will definitely be trying to put that together."
The lads have also been talking about their next album, which they say will see them going "back to their roots".
Ortise said: "With this album, we are steering it in a slightly different direction that we can’t really talk about, but it will still obviously have the JLS stamp".
"We are very excited, we have been working with some really exciting producers and writers on this album, some from the old school, some from the new school. I've been wanting to say this for a long time, but we're working with Babyface, Bangladesh and Sean Garrett."
Aston added: "Babyface for instance has written a number of hits for Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey. Bangladesh is behind the likes of A Milli for Lil Wayne, Dance for Big Sean loads of stuff – Mario, Usher - he has produced everything.
"And to be working with Sean Garrett and these people who have worked with the greatest artists of all time is going to broaden us out even further."
JLS ' Sport Relief single Proud is available to download from 18th March.
