I'm back...I know you've missed me but here I am. Happy New Year...Is anyone still saying that now or are we already wishing people a Happy Easter?!
Well the New Year started with a couple of shockers. The break up of Katy (I'm shit live) Brand and Russell Watson...no that's not right I meant Perry...Russell Perry. Split, finished, over! Let's face it...I think more people were surprised they were together in the first place...and let's just say it was great promotional timing because she had an album out and he had a new film to launch...a red carpet is always a better walk with a plus 1...and then if my nerves weren't already shot Pat Butcher cops it. Drama...followed by drama. I was really worried if they could fit anymore people in that house...Just as one left another one or two turned up...arguement followed row followed screaming and shouting...it was first class drama...those of you who didn't watch it missed out. If you didn't feel sucidal you were pissing yourself at the overacting and weather system that would have set Noah's Ark afloat...
Moving on from the drama of soapland and hollywood while I finish off a family sized chocolate selection box I'm thinking about new year's resolutions. One is to eat less chocolate as right now I'm on the verge of passing out from O.D'ing on chocolate covered everything...WHY? only ever at Christmas...So Alesha Dixon leaves Strictly Come Dancing to join Britain's Got Talent...there is some sort of link there if you look hard enough...All the judges, no...'coaches' are decided for BBC's The Voice and now rumours start being flung around that Nicole Shirtzinger (I'm not even googling it for the correct spelling) is going to be a judge on the new ITV show Superstar which will search out the nation's Jesus...Yes that's right Andrew Lloyd Webber...well his production team...is in search of the new Jesus Christ Superstar, superstar, to tour the musical in arenas. A concept that sounds, on paper, extremely impressive and I for one am looking forward to seeing where exactly this can go.
I'm looking forward to doing some more radio stuff this year and will be reporting on showbiz for Celebritain but we will make some big announcements when this happens officially...In other news the UK got a new Prime Minister...no...sorry...we got a new Maggie Thatcher...that's right. I knew that 17th bottle of wine was a mistake before typiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing this up! Meryl's The Iron Lady is pictured on buses all over the country...I'm sure dear Margaret is flattered beyond belief...If there was a model version of it I am pretty sure she would be putting a hankie over it!
So the Olympics is taking place this year and London is to host...I'll watch on TV in the north. I think that's the best way...The capital may be way ahead with the building and hosting side of the Olympics but traffic and public transport has a lot to do in terms of convincing me whether to make a trip down...Annnnnnd finally I recently got an iPhone 4S...Genius! I was planning a reminder with SIRI the in built P.A. and I asked him whether he loved me...(don't ask) The reply was "How can I tell?" I said "If you get that feeling of butterflies in your stomach" he said "If you insist"...Yeah thanks LUV! I hope we'll be very happy together. I see a bright future...but it's not orange...I'm on O2...Tweet me please @JamesEdgington
